Elemental Cats

I was going to say that I make plushies periodically, but thought better of it. Oops, too late.

Hydrogen, the smallest, lightest, and oldest of the elements.

Iodine, an important trace element in biology and useful in medicine.

Magnesium: burns with a white flame, and is a vital component of chlorophyll.

And Calcium, who's good for your bones.

Hope you like!

This is the most awesome, interesting, useful, unique, well frabricated and cutest project I've seen since I can think. (And I'm trying to say that with all due respect to the other awesome and inspiring things I've seen.) I really like them.

Eeh thankyou! Yeah my goal is to do them all, that might take a while, though...

These are so adorable and original! Do you take commissions? I'd love a mercury one <3

They're coming out in batches right now, but if you have an idea for Mercury I can make it and set it aside for you?

That would be really lovely!

I don't have any specific ideas, but I guess that the fact that it's known as quicksilver and is a liquid at room temp could be relevant? But I also have a connection to Mercury the winged messenger, I'm not sure if that's something you would want to include in this theme...

I love incorporating any sort of connections you like, so going mythological works for me. Do you want to drop me a PM to discuss?

But iodine has two Is.

Actually, I guess I'm not nerdy enough to get why iodine has only one eye. ;D

They're all super cute, by the way! :)

Or maybe the point isn't that he's missing an eye, but that it's just a convenient place for a bandage, with bandages representing the medical field?
Maybe Neilrustydragonfly on July 12th, 2016 06:05 am (UTC)
Honestly, I wish I could say that there was a fancy reason, but the truth is I lost the backing for one of the eyes so decided fine, you can have one eye. And it was cute.

LOL! Well, yes, it IS cute like that. :D
